Praxis4FUTURE: Immersive LED Display Showcases Future of German Medical Practices

Praxis4FUTURE, a visionary project by the KV Nordrhein doctors’ association, reimagines the future of medical practices in Germany. Located in Düsseldorf and Cologne, the immersive experience centers allow doctors, medical staff, and administrators to explore the potential of a connected, digital future. 

Partnering with SIGMA AV, an established AV company with a long-standing presence in Germany, INFiLED provided custom WP Wrap Series LED displays. 

By integrating these advanced screens, the centers take on a high-tech, cutting-edge atmosphere, moving beyond traditional “all-on-paper” practices towards a future-ready, digitally driven medical environment.

The Story of SIGMA AV

SIGMA AV, a German AV integrator with over 40 years in the industry, began as a B2B equipment rental company and expanded into comprehensive AV integration. 

Today, they serve global clients like Vodafone, IBM and Deloitte, excelling in video displays, LED, and control systems for diverse spaces. 

Driven by a passion for creating memorable audiovisual experiences, SIGMA AV found a natural match in INFiLED’s shared vision for immersive solutions.

The Brief: Futuristic, Immersive Storytelling

For Praxis4FUTURE, SIGMA AV was commissioned to take on the design responsibility of an innovative showroom that would highlight the future of German medical practices. 

“The client envisioned a futuristic, sleek setup—white, clean, and seamless,” explained Christian Backes, head of AV integration at SIGMA AV. For him, a circular, cutting-edge LED screen with a sense of endlessness was ideal for representing boundless digital possibilities.

This adjustment required a video wall with excellent brightness, capable of withstanding high daily usage, delivering vivid visuals, and maximizing the arena’s branding potential.

The Challenge: Two Locations, One Seamless Experience

SIGMA AV identified LED screens as the ideal display solution early on. 

However, ensuring consistent results in two locations—each with different screen dimensions—posed a challenge. 

On another hand, effective cross-industry communication between medical professionals and AV technicians was also essential in creating a visually and narratively cohesive experience that aligned with healthcare needs.

How INFiLED Responded: WP Wrap Series and Customized Pixel

When SIGMA AV shared their vision for a technologically advanced display with wide viewing angles, our team in Germany recommended the WP Wrap Series, offering:

• Ultra-thin design (29.5 mm edge thickness)
• Curve precision (flatness tolerance below 0.1 mm)
• High visual performance with excellent black contrast
• Silent operation with low heat dissipation
• *EMC certification

To meet the challenge of “two locations, one seamless experience,” INFiLED customized pixel pitches for each location:

• Düsseldorf: 10.8 x 2.02 meters, 1.56 mm pixel pitch
• Cologne: 7.2 x 1.35 meters, 1.25 mm pixel pitch

These unique 180-degree screens offer visitors an immersive view, in the words of Christian “When the visitors stand there, they are in a story”.
